Dear Corina and Family,
It was with great sadness that I just heard of Dr. Bird’s passing. My deepest condolences to you.
I was lucky to be in both an undergraduate and a graduate class taught by Dr. Bird, and also fortunate to have him on my committee. His insight included wisdom gathered both from home and from beyond the North American continent, and with it he enriched every discussion. His comments on my writing were invaluable, and I truly appreciate the time he took with it. Thank you, Susheila Khera
