Dr. Roy Bird was my advisor and one of my favorite teachers while completing my undergrad at UAF. He made special time for me to help me finish, more than a year, that he worked very closely with me. I was planning on moving on so there was nothing he was going to get out of seeing me graduate aside from the satisfaction, I guess, of him knowing that he had done his job well. His greatest advice to me which has come in handy quite often and reflected on when I did not use it was; "Never give information that wasn't asked for." I will never forget that advice and share it frequently with those who need it, always citing my source, my advisor, Dr. Roy Bird.
