Ross Coen

Roy was one of the first professors I met after transferring to UAF in spring 1997. I wandered up to the English Department needing a signature on some form or another. Just like that, he was my advisor. His door was always open. More than once I walked into his office with random ideas for a paper and walked out with a topic so tight I could almost feel the paper writing itself. A wonderful guy. I will miss him.
